I don't want
To fear being a
Women
But I do.
I am valued
Less and
Fear more.
I fear walking
streets alone
at night.
I fear allys
That lack light.
I fear men
And their
Constant stares.
I fear the idea
That my body is not
The essence of beauty.
I fear the thought
Of my dreams
Being shot.
I fear that
I fear all of
These things.
I fear that
This is normality.
I look outside
And I crumble inside.
I fear to live
My life with
The thought of
Knowing this
Is how it is
Supposed to be.

Lies (A Poem)
I can see the lies
In your eyes.
You try to hide them
But they are coming alive.
I cannot believe I
Once called you a friend.
I wish those memories
Would get out of my head.
I can hear your lies.
They flow out of
Your mouth
Like a flood.
I try to run from them
But you must see
That it doesn't matter
Because they don't control me.

Alive (A Poem)
I walk this broken path alone,
my shadow being my only enemy.
Why is it so hard to find love within ourselves,
but so easy to see our flaws.
Each one of has a secret
that they mustn't break.
We must live in the moments
of passion that make us feel alive.
Alive and no longer alone,
alone within ourselves.

Free (A Poem)
I dream of you
but when I wake my
broken heart
will mend.
Those feelings I had
Have come and gone.
I'm happy.
I'm free of you,
or at least the
idea of what
I wanted you to be.

My Escape (A Poem)
I remember when I
When I wrote my first poem.
I was such a happy writer to be,
all my words, they flowed so freely.
Writing became my outlet,
my place for escape.
Escape from the real world,
The drama of everyday life.
I found happiness,
hope,
freedom.
A place where anything could be.
A place where I decided to be me.

Flowers (A Poem)
Flowers, colorful like a summers day
All worries and cares away.
Bright and beautiful
Like the radiance of the world.
The sun shines down on you
and sometimes rain will fall from the
clouds that gaze upon you.

Mystery (A Poem)
My mind
Is a mystery.
Where the pages
Don't fit and
The book doesn't
Make sense.
All the words
Are lost
But the pictures
Are there.
It feels as if
I have lost
My mind.
All these images
Keep coming
Like open
Flood gates.
But it is reality
That I never see.
