Ambitions (A Poem)

I am 

not smart,

or am I?

I was always 

told I 

would never

 amount to anything.

Why do you 

even try? 

It won't help,

they always say.

In the back 

of my mind,

I know I

will amount to more.

All they see

is a girl 

who is lost,

and looking

for meaning,  

But I can 

assure you

I'm only

getting started,

you just wait

and see.

There is

so much more

to me.
