Crumble (A Poem)

Trying to write,
To many emotions inside.
All my life decisions
Come to this moment.
This is do or die.

This moment where
Either my life falls into place
Or it crumbles through my fingers.
I have to many emotions and
They all seem to linger.

My mind tells me to give up and
Try to succeed elsewhere.
But my heart is holding on
To something that never was
And may never be.

Unforgettable Quotes by Men

  • “You educate a man; you educate a man. You educate a woman; you educate a generation.”-Brigham Young
  • “Equality is not a concept. It's not something we should be striving for. It's a necessity. Equality is like gravity. We need it to stand on this earth as men and women, and the misogyny that is in every culture is not a true part of the human condition. It is life out of balance, and that imbalance is sucking something out of the soul of every man and woman who's confronted with it. We need equality. Kinda now.”-Joss Whedon
  • “You must give everything to make your life as beautiful as the dreams that dance in your imagination.” -Roman Payne
  • “Male domination is so rooted in our collective unconscious that we no longer even see it.”-Pierre Bourdieu
  • "The sexiest thing in the entire world is being really smart. And being thoughtful. And being generous. Everything else is crap! I promise you! It's just crap that people try to sell to you to make you feel like less. So don't buy it. Be smart, be thoughtful, and be generous."  -Ashton Kutcher
  • "Everyone you will ever meet knows something you don't." -Bill Nye
  • "We are all connected; To each other, biologically. To the earth, chemically. To the rest of the universe atomically."-Neil deGrasse Tyson
  • "To call woman the weaker sex is a libel; it is man's injustice to woman. If by strength is meant brute strength, then, indeed, is woman less brute than man. If by strength is meant moral power, then woman is immeasurably man's superior. Has she not greater intuition, is she not more self-sacrificing, has she not greater powers of endurance, has she not greater courage? Without her, man could not be. If nonviolence is the law of our being, the future is with woman. Who can make a more effective appeal to the heart than woman?" -Mahatma Gandhi
  • "There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle." -Albert Einstein
  • "We crave for new sensations but soon become indifferent to them. The wonders of yesterday are today common occurrences" -Nikola Tesla
  • "Man...heats up like a lightbulb: red hot in the twinkling of an eye and cold again in a flash. The female, on the other hand...heats up like an iron. Slowly, over a low heat, like tasty stew. But then, once she has heated up, there's no stopping her." -Carlos Ruiz Zafon
  • "The truth is, everyone is going to hurt you. You just got to find the ones worth suffering for."             -Bob Marley
  • "Present fears are less than horrible imaginings." -William Shakespeare
  • "When I was 16 years old, I tried to kill myself because I felt weird and I felt different and I felt like I did not belong. And now I'm standing here and so I would like for this moment to be for that kid out there who feels like she's weird or she's different or she doesn't fit in anywhere. Yes you do. I promise you do. You do. Stay weird, stay different. And when it's your turn standing on this stage, please pass the same message on to the next person who comes along." - Graham Moore

Unforgettable Quotes by Women

  • "You ask me to explain myself. I'm just wondering, what needs to be explained? It should be very clear. Look into your own heart—I swear to you, mine is no different. You want a place in a trades and professions where you can earn your bread; so do I. You want the means of self-expression, some way to satisfy your own personal ambitions; so do I. You want a voice in the government under which you live; so do I. What is there to explain?" -Alice Paul in Iron Jawed Angels

Yet if a women dates three or four people in an eight- year period she is a serial dater and it gives some 12- year old the idea to call her a slut on the internet? It's not the same for boys, it just isn't and that's a fact." -Taylor Swift

Chances With Me (A Poem)

"Wait"
Everyone says
as the young girl heads toward the door.
Knowing that she deserves better than this.
No one can stop her now,
she has been hurt one
to many times.

Her bags are packed,
she is ready to leave
all of this behind.
She had come for acceptance
and spontaneity,
now that seems like
a  far off fantasy.
She needs to go home
back to where she belongs,
where she is accepted.
Not torn down,
compared to others,
never being enough.

She had it all once,
then she threw it away
for some minor thought
that wouldn't go away.
Needing to get that back
and deciding change is the only answer.
Thinking will he ever want
this chance with me?

She heads out the door now,
leaving the life she made behind
She thinks of hope and love
and knows they are the answer
All she can do know is try her best, waiting.
Waiting, for another chance with me.

Why I Write

When I think of a time that I am most comfortable with myself, writing always brings a smile to my face. When I write my poetry, I describe my life from my point of view and the situations that I have gone through. My life may not be the best it could be at some points but I know that later something beautiful will come from it. As I put pen to paper I can feel the world become a peaceful place where I am free from all the eyes that are watching me. I am comforted by knowing that when people read my poetry they can put on my skin and see the world from my eyes. As I write I think about how I would want the world to be. With only my pen to judge me I am given a greater freedom of thought, from the constraints of others judgments.I am free to explore a world of my own thinking. My writings take me to a beautiful place of what ifs. It is my hope that others may visit this world and find an escape for themselves.

Love (A Poem)

When we both met each other eye to eye

we only heard things about each other

that almost made us cry.

But those two minutes we spent

talking on the phone made me

feel like I was home, with you.

I had an eager to tell you

but all I did was lie

until one day I blurted out the whole thing

and almost made you cry.

This is love that I am feeling,

and from the bottom if my heart

I hope you feel the same way as I do.

This is the first poem I wrote when I was in the 7th grade. I currently revised it so it flowed better. :)

Happy (A Poem)

All I ever do,
is runaway.
Runaway from
My problems,
My life,
My future.
It’s time,
It’s time to change,
Change into what
I was afraid to become
Happy.
