When and Anna and her parents got back from visiting family she still had a few days before she had to go back to school. She had been talking to Brian ever since she had gotten back. She found out that he had started a band a while ago and they actually had a gig at a local concert venue. He told her that she could come and to bring as many friends as she could. He would give her tickets for free for everyone. Since she wasn't to sure about bring Ashley and Jenny she chose to bring Holly and Alaina instead, they also brought some of their friends. It was going to be a great time! Anna met Brian at Sam Goody in the mall to pick up the tickets and of course they both had to look around. He bought some drum sticks since he played the drums in the band and Anna got AC/DC pajama pants, they were meant for boys but she couldn't say no since they had AC/DC on them. They both leave and he gives her a ride home and tells her when to be at the venue. The show was tonight.
Anna heads home and gets ready since she only had a few hours till show time. She chose to wear her buckle and chain pants that a friend had given her and a black penguin tank top, all from Hot Topic of course. She gets her mom to drop her off at the venue to meet her friends there. She had promised Brian that she would get there early to help sell their band merchandise. Anna gets her booth all set up and organized. Everything set into their own category. She liked everything neat and organized for easier buying. The doors were open and all their fans start coming in, it got crazy. Brian had a metal band, so a lot of moshers came and were already moshing in the main room where she was. It made it interesting to try and sell people shirts while everyone was moshing but she somehow made it work. It just required a lot of yelling and the occasional jumping to avoid an incoming person.
After a few opening acts her booth had started to die down and became not as busy, so she heads out to see the show. Holly and Alaina had saved her a seat, right in front of the mosh pit. Anna was having a great time. Brian was trying to tell her something on a break and she couldn't quite hear him, so she jumped into the mosh pit to hear him better. That's when things got crazy. Someone came up and pushed her, because she was in the mosh pit. Anna goes flying across the room and ends up swinging over the stage block off. After she realizes what just happened she looks around and Brian said "hey kiddo, I was saying don't go into the mosh pit because things were so crazy." Anna just laughs and smiles. She looks at him and says "how far did I fly" Brian glances around and says "you don't wanna know." Brian helped her get back to her seat since her friends did not see her go flying. As Brian is about to leave he says "you need face paint to blend in, here let me draw on your face." Anna was so excited that she was being included in something. She never wanted to wash the face paint off.
As she is leaving, everyone was saying how well she flew over the bar, apparently more people say it than what she thought. Her nickname became flip-flop, since she really did flip and flop, Anna got home and was exhausted but didn't want to go to sleep because that meant that the night was over and the face paint would rub off. She got on her computer and checked her MySpace and then dozed off on top of her laptop from having so much fun. When she woke up the next morning, all the face paint was all over her arm. She looked at it and couldn't help but laugh and think about how fun that night was.
