In this weeks events we learn that Anna goes to visit family out of state. For the most part her and her family get along but there are a select few that she has never gotten along with, This side of her family is constantly making fun of her and her style choices, as well as her appearance and how "not smart" she is. Deciding to try and get back at her family she decided to dress in her favorite "goth" pants that have chins and buckles all over them. Her family hated this style of dressing, so it seemed like an excellent idea. It was going well until her cousins came up to her and commented on them. With her replying "Well, at least I am different." Anna became so upset over the situation that she contacted Brian and he made her feel better. He also made her see that she was awesome in her own weird way.
After getting back from her trip she goes to one of Brian concerts and sells T-Shirts for his band. She is having a great time, one of the best times of her life. As Brian is trying to talk to her she couldn't quite hear him, so she goes closer and ends up in the mosh pit, a place she never wanted to be. She gets shoved by a girl in the mosh pit and flies over the stage barrier, only to realize that Brian was just trying to tell her to not go into the mosh pit.
Upon going back to school from her winter break Anna finds herself getting suspended. She was wearing a shirt that the school thought was unsuitable, even though she had worn this shirt many times before. When the adviser at the school commented on her outfit at fist Anna ignored him, but with getting frustrated she finds herself telling the adviser to go and fuck off. This is what got he suspended. Her mom had to come down to the school to pick her up, because Anna was no longer allowed on campus. Anna and her mom where both worried about what her dad would say about her suspension so they decided to not tell him. Anna got up like she was going to school for the rest on the week but as soon as her dad left she went back to bed again. It ended up being like a nice little vacation!
During the weekend Anna gets a call from Jenny. She is in a bad situation and she needs Anna's help. Jenny was at Hobby Lobby in a fight with a old boyfriend. When Anna got there she realized the the fight was because when Jenny and him where dating he had hooked up with another girl... and this girl was a few months pregnant. Even though Jenny was still with Wyatt so it shouldn't have mattered as much as she was making it. When Anna was trying to calm Jenny down Jenny's old boyfriend tried picking a fight with Anna. He wasn't saying anything to Anna that she didn't already think of herself so it didn't bother her to much. That is until he says that Jenny deserved what Lincoln did to her. In her rage she kick the guy in the nuts just as the manager walks by. She gets taken to the back office by the Hobby Lobby manager and security. They decided that this incident was big enough that she needed to be banned. When the store called her parents to tell them what was going on, her dad answers and thinks that this is the funniest thing ever. He came to get her and they laughed about it the whole way home. Anna was starting to come into her own and not take bad things from people anymore.
When she gets back to school she is having trouble in her Algebra 3 class. Finding herself very bored she talks to the cute boy behind her in this class. At first he seemed very annoyed with Anna but as the class goes on she realizes that he may have a crush on her just like she did him. He ends up tutoring her in the class, as well as half the class. It made Anna happy that some of the class was having a hard time with the material as well. She wasn't alone. When they are leaving the class they walk out together and they share a very cute moment together. They ended their conversation with him saying "I hope I get to see you again." Which he will because they have a lot of classes together. He makes her want to be smart and actually want to try in school. This is the start of something amazing.
